I find it hard to judge CHL - it is a unique sort of movie - and I'm not prepared to say which is better, but Butch must be in there with the Newman greats.

2 reasons I can think of:
1) quite a few may not have seen it
2) Which technically excellent and innovative, it does not have the emotional impact that several of the other films on the list (I'm not saying it doesn't have such impact at all, though)


The Godfather being so far ahead is a mystery though. Did it just come out in a special edition in the US or something?
