wait so we're talkin quantity and not quality here?

meth has done a shitload, true. but i think he shot his wad with M.E.T.H.O.D. M.A.N. on 36 chambers, i feel like he hasnt lived up to that since. That track is [censored] ing amazing, but Tical:2000 and Tical:0 were both weak releases.

his guest spots have been pretty good in some situations, but why'd he slack on his solo career?

i'd even say that Tical (the first solo release) just barely touches the level of skill on his song on 36 chambers.

shouldnt his solo efforts count for the majority of making this decision?

yeah it Cuban Linx is pretty damn good. WTF is Method Man getting votes?

[/ QUOTE ]

Maybe because he's had the best "mainstream" career, with the acting and such.

i was being rhetorical when i asked because it seemed like a lot of answers were being based off of the size his oeuvre.

or lack thereof.

and this is both euphamism and literal.

Obviously, the only way this conflict can be solved is through an internet forum-based text rap off, to the death. This will show who has the superior off-the-top-of-the-dome-to-the-keyboard-skillz. You are both discouraged from using pre-copied lyrics from your New Text Document of witty hip-hop rejoinders.

i thought blackout was still a necesity for the collection though. i'd give it a 6.5-7.0 on a 1-10. It had a few good hits, but there were definately some misses, but didnt seem nearly as inconsistent as tical 2000 etc.

They always crap on every hip hop thread, and always target me.

Quite possibly because you never know what the hell you're talking about.

i really hate to gang up on anybody, but this is in fact true. whether he sees this or not, tsc's problem is that he talks like he knows everything, when that is in fact not the case. of course there's nothing wrong with not knowing everything...we're all only human. the problem is he refuses to ever accept or admit that maybe he isn't the authority on hip hop. he makes blanket generalizations based on his ignorance, and then because he can't admit that he might have been off the mark he just makes it worse with the ensuing "discussions."
