Re: **Official Sirio 2K PL HE WSOP Thread**
Edward Moncada aka ebolivia on PS and Bolivian on 2+2 wins Event #11.
Runner-up is Steve Hudak, friend of Tyler Durden. Third, Mr. Cossio. GJ's all around. Lots of 2+2 love in this event. |

That is an absolutely sick call given the circumstances. [/ QUOTE ] Look at the chip count right after. It looks like this is one where Ed either folds and has ~60k left and is in bad shape or calls and has ~160k in solid shape if he wins. |

Re: **Official Sirio 2K PL HE WSOP Thread**
I think it's more like ~180k if he wins and ~65k if he folds. Blinds are 4k-8k at that point so I can understand his call since he invested a third of his stack at that point.
That said, Freddy could have pushed with many hands, but a lot could beat third pair. You can think it through and make the best decision, but when the cameras are rolling and a tournament veteran sets you in and you have third pair... The real intrigue in the hand is Freddy's river raise. That ought to have set off some alarm bells, because a lot of made hands are just calling the river. You'd think Moncada would call for the rest of his chips with top pair in that scenario, so what's Deeb's range of hands and what does he put Moncada on? |

Re: Congrats!
Congrats, David... Nice work finishing 3rd! I can imagine you feel disappointed for not claiming the bracelet. Just let it sink in for a few days and you'll have a different view of your achievement. There'll be another final table for you during WSOP 2005, I can feel it coming...

I imagine he obv. had a read Freddy wasn't strong, but he's also looking at most likely results. If he folds, most likely the same result as he calls and loses - next one out. But if he calls and is right, everything changes. Again, this is not easy by any means, but imo this kind of attitude is what it takes to be a top tourney player. |

Re: **Official Sirio 2K PL HE WSOP Thread**
He should have some kind of read on Freddy, I was surprised he folded in another spot, when he was short stacked, he raised the pot and Freddy came over the top; I was pretty sure Edward was calling since he have the odds and with his stack if he commited a good shunk of his chips he was surely playing for the rest, but he folded !!
He was the one guy I feared the most at the final table, I really want him to lost the 1st big pot A8-KK vs the Japanese guy but it was his night. I really respect his game. For sure, he was playing to win, Edward was my 2nd pick to win (after me of course); he played great poker, and he deserves the victory. David |

Great job Sirio. Looks like you're having one hell of a WSOP (2 more small cashes before this big one, right?). GL at the other events you're playing.

Re: **Official Sirio 2K PL HE WSOP Thread**
If Eddy calls and loses that hand he has 8K and the blinds are 4K-8K...sick sick, expert call. Oh yea and I had a small piece of Ed in the event...cha-ching!
