If it's not, I like it all the same!
[ QUOTE ] It's very rare that they stumble into someone smart enough to handle the rigors of a 52-week crash course in a foreign language. [/ QUOTE ] Wait a minute. You are walking into the recruitment center normally? Shouldn't you be dribbling from the mouth and stumbling all over the place or something? And what's this, engaging the officer into an intelligent conversation on intelligence? You should be on brain damage mode. |

My dad and his dad both served. [/ QUOTE ] I'm currently trying to use that line on Taxes too. Like I said, I was tops in my Korean class, and the clearance went without a hitch. [/ QUOTE ] I feel very sorry for you, this all sounds like B.S. But wouldn't like making a few phonecalls to Afghanistan embassys and Iraq every day make you "uncleared"? |

[ QUOTE ]
I heard on some news report that they are raising the age that they can recall people. However, please explain this: "But the army booted my fat ass out just before I graduated the Korean school. I was honorably discharged , and told that they reserved the right to recall me to active duty." Also, wouldn't they have Americans with arab grandparents that they could just send to Basic and then ship out to the sandlot with 52 weeks at Monterrey? Anyway, I too had my recruiter crying. He wanted me to become an aircraft electronics repairman (20 years ago). Said jobs liek that are hard to fill. I said nope, I'm going 11B with Airborne School and RIP. I wanted to be John Wayne. [/ QUOTE ] They wouldnt do this...thats what the extensive security checking is for! If u have any hereditary links they are WAY less likely to use you unless its a special circumstance and u clear security with flying colors because otherwise these people are a HUGE liability. You are working with things which if leaked could cost lifes, so they are not going to put someone with "ties" to the "enemy" in that job lightly but either way...i smell april fools! |
