I found out last week that my guitar instructor has done some work with Jackie McLean, who told him some funny stories about Tony Williams. After hearing Tony play several times, McLean really wanted him to move to NYC and play with him. The biggest obstacle? Getting permission from Tony Williams' parents. He was 16 at the time.

Sadly, I was out of town a couple months ago, and missed my chance to see Wayne Shorter in Miami. Heard it was good.

Well, I always knew that if I ended up being anybody's idol on 2+2, it wouldn't be for my poker advice...

Still, nice to be appreciated.
