I would love to have a HORSE or HOSE type event. But I really doubt that is within Stars software capacity or they'd probably offer it as one of their regular game types.

Just the thought of this made my day. If they figured out how to do this, it would rule like nothing else.

*sigh*...I'm so easily excited by this stuff...

I will dominate in any HOSE tourney, and if it's HORSE none of you have a chance. Someone talk PStars into setting up a Razz tourney, my record in 6 online Razz tourneys (avg size mid 20's) is 3 1sts, 1 2nd, 1 3rd, and 1 bad tourney.

We got off to a good start for 05 with 52 players including many newbees to our tournament. It was only right that we "let" some of them finish high up on the list so that we can keep them around for future tourneys. I was fortunate to get some decent hands and finish up as high as I did, however sbastid gave me alot of trouble last night and I will have to adjust. Looking forward to the next when I think more of the seasoned veterans will be appearing at the final table. Heading to AC next week for a little R&R after last nights gruelling tourney..Thanks to Ed, Simon, Stars, et al, for a well run tournament.Looking forward to the end of the months pot limit....

Thanks, all. I had a great time, even when I was just hoping to hang on long enough to finish in the top half of the field. It was a strange tourney for me in that a) I, of course, had no business winning against this bunch, and b) my good hands usually held up.

Has anyone else noticed a tendency to have better results against good players than bad ones? In this case, I think I avoided doing some dumb things I might otherwise have done for fear of looking like a moron with the Zoo watching. Maybe I need to request Zoo sweat for cash games. I think I still made a few silly moves, but the cards were kind.

Special thanks to sbastid for continuously saying the site was rigged, which kept my mojo intact. Since I vowed to play only rigged sites if it worked out, I will now redeposit into my long-dormant Pacific account.

Anyhoo, I'm sure I'll be back for more KOTZ events, even though it's got to be -EV for me (despite last night's aberration). It's worth it to play among pleasant people, and playing against strong players like you folks might even improve my game.

In lieu of strutting around and acting all kingly, I will merely point out that my middle name is William.

Regards,
UD

Yup. I've never done anything in other tournaments, yet have had a decent amount of success in KotZ. My table last night was consistently tough throughout - just the way I like it, as it makes me concentrate much harder.

That is why I enjoy KotZ- playing against good players makes me better (at least that is my theory...wish I could prove it! heh). I enjoy the comraderie too, but playing against tough opponents is interesting.
