In badugi, what would win:
a [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Or 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] OR a [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] |

This "badugi" sounds exactly like a game that I have played on several occasions that is called "padukah" (at least that's how I always thought it was spelled.
The nuts in this game is as follows: A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] And any hand that contains one of any suit beats any hand that has two of a suit and so on. The first determining factor is the suits of the cards, and the second is the value of the cards themselves. Hope I made that clear enough. |

This game is common in the very big mix games along with the two variations of Triple Draw. We tried them all in a 2+2 home game (played 3/6 or smaller) and I was the fish by far . ~ Rick |

[/ QUOTE ] A couple of nights ago when we still had problems with the sound it came back on just in time for me the hear Denny say "and thanks to Rick Nebiolo and RGP for the helpful hints". The next day I let Denny know that 2+2 is where it's at these days . ~ Rick |

Anyway, the winner is: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ~ Rick |

Wasn't much better when they were playing hold'em. They still weren't showing hole cards very much or talking about the hands at all. Oh well, watching Seat 2 chow down on his dinner was kind of interesting at least. [/ QUOTE ] I think that was Toto Leonides (I jotted down names and seats before I came home). Nice guy, great player. I got to play a bit of 20/40 stud/8 with him a couple of years ago and am not surprised to see him move up and also do well in some of the TV events. ~ Rick PS Table-side free (or nearly free) food is one of the great things about playing B&M in LA (as long as you don't over-eat when running bad) |
