Re: What is your rent?
$2300/month for 2bed/2bath apartment in west LA. 1 roommate, I'm paying $1200 because my room's bigger. On the third floor of 3, so the living-room's 14-15 feet tall and we have skylights. Not sure on the square footage of the apartment, maybe somewhere around 1000-1200.
It's pretty nice, especially considering that neither of us is actually employed. |

[ QUOTE ] Also 2 bathrooms (which contain toilets). So 3 toilets(3 residents). [/ QUOTE ] WAIT?? So 1 toilet is not in a bathroom?? Kitchen maybe?? [/ QUOTE ] Just a langauge difference. Over here "bathroom" is used to describe a room with a bath (or shower) that will almost always have a toilet. A room with just a toilet is just called a "toilet". |

Re: What is your rent?
$1500 1BR + Living room + Dining room in the more gentrified section of the mission in San Francisco (19th and Guerrero). HW floors, bay window, nice details - I live with my longterm girlfriend and we technically split the rent, but she's poor and I'm not so I often end up paying the full rent and having her "owe" me.

Re: What is your rent?
$830/month in Minneapolis - one bedroom with a balcony (screened in), mini fireplace in the living area - 3rd floor with an elevator, and that includes underground parking which cannot be overstated in winter -
I'm in the nice part of Minneapolis - close to Lake Calhoun and right behind a bike trail (the midtown greenway) - so I'm in pretty good location for what I want - if I couldn't buy gas, I'm real close to public transit lines and I could walk to food easy - I'm 2-4 blocks from a couple bars and never have to drive if I feel like getting shitfaced - I like it - but I'm looking for a real home now - I'll probably go Condo - RB |

Re: What is your rent?
- $200 a month ($400 divided between roommate and me)
- Really big Victorian farmhouse near Fillmore, CA (40 minutes north of LA) - This won't last forever, I'm really frigging lucky while it does, and then I am doomed to pay 4-5 times this amount every month |

I'm in courthouse, in the meridian. we pay about 2300 split among 3 people for a 3 br apt, 2 ba, utilities not included. 8th floor. I'm looking for a house in clarendon pretty soon. [/ QUOTE ] Hey, a couple of years ago I was living in the courthouse area. It was just off of an I66 exit, 4 bedroom house, $1750 a month. The house was kind of a dump, the landlord was a slum lord, but it was a great location. Lots of good stuff within easy walking distance. |
