Try not to be sooooo judgemental of people [/ QUOTE ] dont take my joke about reading upside down to task. have you read what i posted? i am not passing judgement on the kid, far from it. when i was 19, i wasnt in school or could even afford to go to vegas and make mistakes like this. i was too busy ruining my life at the time on drugs and booze and causing others grief with my actions. lets backtrack to my first post. i joked that it was ironic that somebody being touted as mature beyond his years was passed out and drunk to the point he couldnt board a flight 3 hours before said flight. a semi stranger (i will assume him and BK dont know each other all that great) now has to figure out a way to fix this situation, which can include HIM altering his plans. a 'mature' individual would not have done that. a 'typical' 19 year old would. i am not passing judgement on the kid, he seems to be well educated and a good poker player. however, his actions today dont seem to indicate he is the second coming of paul finch.

i hope you can meet him one day. you'd see that he is a very intelligent and kind person. You would regret what you've said. He is better in nearly every aspect than a "normal" teenager.
That said, gabe needs to drink less and i think he'll know it after reading this post and i can guarranttee he will apologize to BK. Gabe didn't mean to put BK in a bad position on purpose. He made a stupid and selfish mistake. I'm sure he'll clear it up when he's sober. Hopefulluy he learned a lesson.

neither of which i disputed. You would regret what you've said. huh? i didnt call him a bad name. i said he was a typical teenager. He made a stupid and selfish mistake. which is what normal teenagers do. all i did was point it out. sorry if i offended you guys, i didnt know he was a sacred cow.

I have no place in this silly arguement, but what the hell, I'll chime in too.
Variance applies to maturity and life too. This 1 situation is only an indication of his maturity. It is a pet-peeve of mine when people say that because of 1 decision, somone has to be a certain type of person. It is unclear whether you are making this statement or not. With only this incident I would say it is likely he is a below average teenager. With all the other inforamtion available from reading his posts to testamonials in this thread, I think it is very unlikely he is average or below average.
