damn dude. That [censored] is low. Can't believe he pulled that on you, that was a fine haiku as well. Who does that though? Offers money like that to get responses to a thread then welches? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, any suggestions? Just start poll or thread in OOT to see if it will change his mind? I looked at some of his posts and he splits his time between OOT and the Mid/High forum. I was under the impression that many/most Mid/High posters had a sor of code of honor regarding money owed.... I guess I was wong. Anyway, for a mid/high guy you'd think he was serious and would own up to the debt. Yugoslav |

Re: Dear bison: the May advice thread.
Dear bison,
How does one go about "closing the deal," so to speak, when flirting with a chick? I'm a 22 year old who spent nearly 4 years in and out of a relationship with a girl I started dating my senior year of HS. End result is a slight hang-up on her (yet I was the one who ended it ) and a complete lack of ability to close the deal when talking with a chick at the end of the night. I still struggle to introduce myself to new girls, but flirting and conversation is easy once I do -- I've always been good at this, and didn't shut it down while seeing my ex. But I can't imagine asking a chick for her number, or to come back to my place, without sounding like a total idiot. It's something I have no experience at, and despite telling myself that I'm going to finally sack-up and do it, I usually back out at the last second. Signed, Boy Attempting Game In New Arenas |

But Kane does kind of act like a wanker sometimes though, so I'm not totally surprised at this. hope he owns up and pays the debt. |

Re: Dear bison: the May advice thread.
Dear Ollie,
Tone is a generational thing, but it's not as if it's uniform - as the Poviches and Leonard Koppett's of the world disappear, they get replaced by different types of younger men. You've got to experiment a little, but I will say that for the most part, people on the sabermetric bandwagon are going to be a lot more bearable - if only because they believe in certain types of evidentiary proof. Bill James and Jayson Stark can both be pontificating windbags, but at the end of the day, James has made you look at a player in twelve different ways while Stark is still promoting Shannon Stewart's MVP campaign. |
