Is there any real animosity against Boston in St Louis

[/ QUOTE ]

No. However, there is substantial irritation with the way the media, ESPN in particular, has fallen all over themselves to ejaculate over everything Red Sox. Particularly with the portayal of them as some sort of gutty underdog, you know, what with their $120mm payroll and all.

Uh oh, you've officially given up when you mention the $120 m payroll.

No of course not. I hope you're not so thin skinned that you won't indulge Sox fans waiting 86 years(no I'm not that old) a little trash talking.

Not at all, especially since I saw the tumbleweeds rolling through the Game 1-4 Yankee-Red Sox game threads. Knowing that it's a bunch of heartless frontrunners doing the trash talking actually makes it pretty easy to deal with. The Houston fans at least were there from start to finish, even when it looked bad.

Pitch count through four innings:

Pedro: 63

[/ QUOTE ]

Pitth count for Pedro:

Through 5 innings: 73
Through 6 innings: 84

The 100 pitch count is often cited as a point where Pedro gets into trouble.

The Cardinals will send Rolen, Edmonds, and Sanders to the plate in the bottom of the 7th. The Sox should have the bullpen ready to go even though Pedro has looked great in the last few innings.
