[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] And they have two series with Kansas City coming up. They're the favorite to be the wild card. [/ QUOTE ] and 6 with chicago. [/ QUOTE ] dont count on chicago doing any damage [/ QUOTE ] The Sox have already damaged the Tribe to the tune of a 10-3 record this season. Why would anybody count on that? Also, tonight I was thinking: if the chisox end up going 3-7 in their last 10 and Boston passes them for the WC, I will nuke Chicago.

Also, tonight I was thinking: if the chisox end up going 3-7 in their last 10 and Boston passes them for the WC, I will nuke Chicago. [/ QUOTE ] There seems to be 3 teams that are over performing in the AL throughout the entire season (just using Pythagoream). BOS, NYY, and CWS. Maybe BOS can overperform more than CWS. If those teams were tied, who won the coinflip for the extra game? I am upset that BOS might not win the division (or make the post season for that matter). But, at the same time I kind of hope if they don't make it that CWS plays NYY. That way I will most likely win my $150 bet on here (and be a NYY fan for a series...and then root for CLE...and if ANA beats CLE then I really don't know who to root for. I like NYY more than ANA..yeah..I guess I am not a "true" BOS fan.). craig |

Re: Bump this thread every day the indians remain in the wild card lead
How's this for a scenario. If the Yankees and Red Sox are two games behind the Indians going into the last series of the regular season the Indians are in. Also if the Indians win 5 out of their next 7 they're in. Admitedly big "ifs" though. IMO it's helpful for the Indians that the Yankees play the Red Sox the last series of the year. Somebody comes out of that series 1-2 or 0-3. You could say the same thing about the White Sox and Indians series next weekend but currently the White Sox and Indians are ahead of both teams. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see the Yankees and Red Sox win the rest of their games going into that last series of the year.

Losing to KC today was not in the plans. Wild card could be tied by Monday night.

Still true, so still bumping.
CC put the Indians on his back tonight. Glad the bats reponded. Here's to Chicago not giving a full effort this weekend. KJS |
