All I said is that someome who thinks an IQ test is stupid probably did not score in the top 2%. Of course there are exceptions, but I would bet that the percentage of people who think IQ tests are stupid is far higher in the group below 140 than above 140.

Not necessarily true. If you said Asian-American and African-American, that MIGHT be true, however Asian-Americans are much better educated due to a variety of factors. Genetically speaking (Asians versus black Africans), you would have a very tough time making this argument. The opening chapter of Guns, Germs, and Steel makes an interesting argument that those living in low-tech cultures are actually MORE intelligent on average than those living in high-tech cultures such as our own. The book argues that since surivival in low-tech cultures is more linked to intelligence, survival of the more intelligent actually applies to such cultures (the less intelligent do not survive to bear children at the same rate as the more intelligent, and their genes are thus culled from the pool). In high-tech cultures, survival is not dependent on intelligence.
