i'm with ohkanada (who is with Ed).

This price structure and every 3-weeks seems fine to me.

once a month would be too infrequent imo. I need my KOTZ's.

I think if we add the link to the home-page more frequently (for newcomers) and pump it up just a tad more we will do okay.

We just got 35 players for Stud H/L for crying out loud which isn't bad at all.

I don't know if we want to tinker with Always-On-Thursday format or not.
Some people simply have obligations.....and I always feel bad for the Europeans who have to stay up unreasonably late.

I think that holding just a couple of them on a Sat or Sun afternoon wouldn't kill anyone and it would be an interesting experiment to see how it affects turnout.

[ QUOTE ]

To address the issue of the website - I will continue to maintain it, but it is always going to be in my own time. For next years series, I would like to think that we can get some sort of sponsorship for the event/site, at least to cover the cost of the domain and web space, to add to the prize pool of each event and to cover the cost of a trophy for the King.

[/ QUOTE ]

Are you looking for someone else to handle the website?

If my website takes off like it appears it will I would be happy to sponsor it.

Wonders what kind of site it is.

I think it would be cool if we got a porn-site to sponsor the Zoo homepage.

King of the Zoo is kinda bland anyway.
C'mon.... I'm sure Vinny or Ed or Simon or whoever wins it would MUCH rather be "King of SuperSluts.com".

I can only say one thing: I'm gonna really enjoy the 2005 KOTZ. I'm already hooked, and I've only played 1 event.

Yeah. They're fun.
Glad you were digging it as well.

I missed a bunch of them this year because my adult-league soccer team had a string of Thursday night games that got in the way....and I had various other obligations spring up at the last minute.
I had originally planned on trying to play all of them this year but have only made it to 9 (ITM in 3 of them though....Woo-Hoo!!!).

I actually like it when we play the non-holdem games (like Stud H/L for example).
Almost all of us admittedly have virtually no idea what the hell we're doing and it's pretty fun.
