15/30. I won't be playing at that level often, bankroll is too small.

I'm a little suprised at how the limits change between live and online. I expected there to be a level, or two...but seeing something like "15/30 live, 1/2 online" is a bit weird.
I never really played online. Back when I was playing full time, the online boom hadn't kicked yet. Most of the time I would play 10/20 or 30/60 because that's where the money was to be made. Most of the people in the smaller rooms here in Jersey weren't playing much higher than that. When I could, I would jump in a 100/200 game as soon as it opened. Played in some great home cash games. We would play either Hold'em or 7CS. $100 ante, $100 bets each round. 4 bet max, per round. Loser(s) in a showdown must match the pot. A LOT of money changed hands that game. I walked away very, very happy. sv |

This is a silly question. I play whatever games are the best and where I don't risk going broke, and you all should too. [/ QUOTE ] You're no fun... I've played the 30/60 game, I just wish I had the roll to do it consistently... |

I was dizzy from the competition, Doyle, Stu, Mickey Appleman and another player or two. The players were aggressive and I thought there were a bunch of raises. I was still getting settled into my seat, dumping my racks of chips etc. I know it sounds crazy, but it was $150 to me to call and I had a good hand on third and forth, so I called. On fifth street it was $600 when it got to me and my feeble little mind finally realized what limit I was playing.
Alright, I admit to not being that swift on the uptake for a couple minutes.......... Dogmeat [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] |

I'm not saying that I am not any fun, you've just got to realize that you should play in games because they are good, not because they are big. Hell, this last weekend at Commerce, I was willing to play quite big (300-600) if the game was right. The game never went, so I will never know how good the game would have been. As far as not going broke, you should be willing to take "controlled shots" by running up some money if you are playing well and winning. However, by running up through the limits, starting with your normal game, you don't expose yourself so much, but you can make a big score that can allow you to quickly bump you up the food chain.
In my daily play, I'll play the 80-160, but if it's not so good, I'll frequently just play 40-80 because it's always great, and I can make about the same money with far less aggrevation. |

100-200 online
100-200 live Smartest move I've ever made: 3 100-200 heads up matches with thecount, so wasted I could hardly see the screen. Poor fish didn't know what hit him. JV-1 Count-0 |
