LOL, well I went into Shade knowing that it was going to be heavily about deck manipulation so I wasn't as disappointed as those who were expecting a great poker movie. The opening scene where you get to see the manipulations from under a glass table was pretty cool.

As a poker movie it blew though. There was one scene where apparently the director had never heard of the term "table stakes", and that was pretty stupid. There were a few plot holes, but there were also some interesting twists. Overall I gave Shade a C+ (again not looking at it as an accurate poker movie). If your looking for authentic poker action it would get an F.

But I am curious about this Big Blind movie. But no one seems to have seen it yet

The fact that it's only available through them and not even on amazon or something isn't a good sign.

Pretty disturbing trailor, not sure if I would fork over $25 for the movie. Reminded me of movie you might catch on public access.

I just got it today. It sucks I mean it really is a bad movie. Despite almost taking place entirely in a poker room there is very little poker content. It is basically a mishmash of subplots dealing with the various lowlifes inhabiting the Lake Elsinore Card Room. None of the stories are all that interesting and the acting and production qualities are not great. Many of the sublots and characters are just plain annoying.

But it is about poker and therefore somewhat intriguing to poker players. But I can't imagine any poker players that won't be disappointed by it. I suggest you save your money. Although it does include a Party Poker bonus code for a $25 bonus claiming you can get your money back free

My rating is 72o

The bonus states "when setting up a new account" so I guess that leaves most of us out. It is $25 on top of a 20% $100 max bonus so if you don't have a Party account its an okay deal.

Even though it isn't good I'm gonna hang onto the dvd. I have some friends that want to see it. I will watch it again some time but believe me it isn't the kind of movie you will watch time and time again. It was tough just the first time

Thanks for review, I always figure, if it's not sold anywhere but from 1 place, then it sucks, thanks for backing up my theory. This goes for pretty much anything.

Those cheapo micro trimmers are great for eyebrows with an adaptor and perhaps nose hairs, but suck for legit shaving, there is my contribution, I think they spent .25 on parts a piece on those and laugh at the marketing BS, shaving any grouped hairs longer than 1/4" is like pulling them out with your fingers.
