KQs bad turn worse river party 5/10
CO is loose and bad. BB seems more reasonable. They're both the kind to stick around with any A, any draw, etc.
Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) pokerhand.org hand converter Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero raises, 1 fold, CO calls, 2 folds, BB calls. Flop: (6.40 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) BB checks, Hero bets, CO calls, BB calls. Turn: (4.70 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) BB checks, Hero... I really don't like that card. I don't really want to bet fold, checking feels weak... Thoughts? |

Re: KQs bad turn worse river party 5/10
that card blows for sooo many reasons. I do think that bet/fold is your best move here, as much as you don't want to do it. What is your plan for the river if you get called in both places(or in one places)?

Re: KQs bad turn worse river party 5/10
I bet/fold the turn. If we get called by both CO and BB I check the river, and call a bet from CO if BB folds, fold if CO bets and BB calls.

KDawg,
Yeah it was about as bad a turn as I could imagine... If I'm just called, I'm checking the river and having a hard time calling a bet from either of these guys... |

I dunno, I hate these spots. It's easy to say 'bet/fold' but it's not that easy when CO calls - WTF do you do on the river?

Yeah, I hate those spots too...
Continuing on, another great card fell on the river... Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) pokerhand.org hand converter Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero raises, 1 fold, CO calls, 2 folds, BB calls. Turn: (4.70 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) BB checks, Hero checks, CO checks. River: (4.70 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) BB checks, Hero checks, CO bets, BB calls, Hero folds. Final Pot: 6.70 BB |

Re: KQs bad turn worse river party 5/10
I bet fold. If they don't respect your pfr and the Ace then you are beat and you don't want a small heart a free chance to beat you.

I'd have called, given your read, the CO's bet if the BB didn't call

Re: KQs bad turn worse river party 5/10
Well you have to bet that turn. They could easily have straight draws, bdfd, a 9 or 8. Atleast the board is as threatning to them as it is to you so you can make an comfortable fold incase of a raise.
On the river i would fold if BB bet or called, if youre up against CO a call is probably granted. |
