Re: online LO8 tournament \"strategy\" (Orleans)
If you've got 9 hours to spare on a Thursday, the Deepstack Lo8 on stars is fun. I've played it 5 times, cashed 4 and made 3 FTs.
Party o8 tournaments are super soft, but the 1000 starting chips kind of ties your hands, if you get that initial double up though, you should be able to actually play some poker. I think you have to play looser pf in online tournaments, nut peddling just wont work in the structure. |

You mean for the Party structure, or in general? Pre flop or post flop? |

You mean for the Party structure, or in general? Pre flop or post flop? [/ QUOTE ] PF mainly. I know a lot of people don't raise pf in Lo8 generally, and that's fine early on, but late in tournaments, when the blinds become substantial, raising pf is a must. Another bit of advice, you're always looking to scoop of course, but early in an MTT, having just the nut high in a multiway pot is a goldmine, because if two or three people are in there with A2, they'll be happy to cap it. |
