Re: One source for NL Cash games
I don't know about 'Little Green Book' But Harrington is ... the point is that early stage tourney, when stacks are large and blinds small play pretty much like a cash game (at least if you are a tight conservative player like Dan H), so yes HOH is good for cashgames
Middle of HOH vol 2 you get to later stage theory and when to push all in with any trash and such .. that off course only relates to tourneys |

Re: One source for NL Cash games
I think Ciaffone and Rueben's book might be the best one, but I wish it were a little larger. The Big Bet Quiz that he sets up in the middle of the book with the correct answer being 10 points and you score yourself is great, but I wish it had about 30 more problems, and much more discussion.
I'm sure I'm not the only one that wished he would have stripped the London lowball and stud sections for 50 more pages of hold'em theory and hand exercises. |

Re: One source for NL Cash games
Tom,
You might not see a ton of hand examples but the essay type approach that Ciaffone uses is liked by almost everyone and it has some great theories on how to improve as a poker player. I would rate HoH 1&2 as the best NL hold'em book I've read though. |

Re: One source for NL Cash games
Super System II. It's your best bet for getting a good understanding of implied odds and the instincts required to be a top NLHE player. Even though the book only focuses on Hold'em, alot of the general ideas in the book teach you that NL is not a game for the weak.
