Default Bellagio Parking Questions

first of all, whats the deal with the security checkpoint? i can't even determine what their goal is by making you open your trunk for 2 seconds and barely looking inside.

secondly is there a better place to park? it takes quite awhile to get down LVB just that little way going south off of flamingo. i am usually coming from down south (around south valley view and russell), and there has gotta be a better way than i go (north on cameron then east on flamingo).

This is what I do. Please understand it may not be the best option. I valet Park at the Monte Carlo. You can get to the MC via Frank Sinatra Blvd avoiding the strip completely. Take the tram to the Bellagio ( remember that the tram is closed between 1am - 6am), but its a fairly quick walk back to the Monte Carlo. Grab a jackpot ale at the Monte Carlo brew pub for the tram ride over. Parking at MC will save you some time especially on Fri or Sat night. Good Luck

I've always wondered about that trunk check too. Are terrorists driving up to the Bellagio with a big black round ball bomb with the big sparkling fuse going in the trunk and hoping security doesn't pick their vehicle?

They're going through the motions, as instructed by their supervisors.

Often I will go south on LVB to Harmon, take a U turn and turn left into self parking. Works OK if it is on the hour (fountain show) and pretty busy.

Venitian is the worst for security checks - as it is before the taxi drop off point.

The only place to park is valet on flamingo, you are in the poker room in 1 min after getting your ticket from the valet.

The Belaggio parking check is the most pointless thing ever. The donkey that thought it up should get his ass fired.
