Re: Anyone get a real gross feeling while they\'re in a casino?
I've dealt virtually every game out there. You get used to seeing all of the stuff that most people would never see. You get the see the best and worst of people in a casino. Everyone knows they are supposed to lose in a casino, yet think the games are rigged or cheating them, yet they still play. WTF morons, how do you think they pay the bills...by handing out money? LOL
No, I dont feel sorry for them. They make a conscious decision to battle a -EV situation. As long as they are attempting to have fun and enjoy themselves, then it's cool. I hate to say it..."but when the fun stops"...stop gambling. |

Re: Anyone get a real gross feeling while they\'re in a casino?
Know lots of people who gamble, for the most part at -EV games.
Maybe it's just luck, but none of them would be considered problem gamblers who are endangering their financial situation. They play with money they can afford to spend, and play for the entertainment factor. None of them are highrollers--they will take $50 or $100 max for an afternoon at the tribal casinos 90 minutes down the road or up to KC or StL on an overniter. Play some slots and VP, make a few bets at the OTB at the Oklahoma casinos. Some are actually a little ahead.....they've hit a few nice jackpots and have the sense to not give it all back the same trip. And when you think about it....spending $50 at a casino is less expensive than a golf outing.....so to each his/her own. |
