Couple of BASIC questions
1. What do you call each time your dealt a pair of hole cards? I think "hand" refers to a pair you actually play. The reason why I'm asking is b/c I am creating a spreadsheet and on it I am including a column to track how many "hands" are dealt between hands that I play.
2. What are the nine positions called? I have: Button SB BB UTG UTG+1 MP1 MP2 MP3 CO Is this correct? |

LRAO,
[ QUOTE ] What do you call each time your dealt a pair of hole cards? I think "hand" refers to a pair you actually play. [ QUOTE ] What are the nine positions called? I have: Button SB BB UTG UTG+1 MP1 MP2 MP3 CO [/ QUOTE ] This is correct. And if there are ten players seated at the table then you can add "UTG+2" to your list. -- Manzanita |

Re: Couple of BASIC questions
[ QUOTE ]
Pocket Pair [/ QUOTE ] I think the OP was using the term pair to refer to "two" as in a hold 'em hand rather than a pocket pair. Poor word choice. Also, OP is trying to determine his VPIP. You don't need a spreadsheet, just poker tracker. [ QUOTE ] 1. What do you call each time your dealt a pair of hole cards? [/ QUOTE ] A hand. Then whether or not you play it determines your VPIP (voluntairy put $ in pot). |
