Stars VIP + Turbos vs Party sngs
Ok given that the Stars VIP program is out and that offical RB is dead on Party and so is there VIP program, is anyone going to be moving to Stars and playing on there turbos or other sngs?
Does anyone have any good online resources or posts which highlight the strategy differences between the stars turboes and the Party sngs? |

Re: Stars VIP + Turbos vs Party sngs
Poker Stars from here on out. My sample shows avg. time of turbos of 43min so very close to Party time. Not much going on at the high levels but under $60s plenty of cash to take.

Re: Stars VIP + Turbos vs Party sngs
I haven't decided yet. Maybe I'll try it when I start playing the $55s as my main game. If I play any lower than that, I won't be able to sustain Platinum status on Stars.

Not much going on at the high levels [/ QUOTE ] This could change now too - who knows. |

Great, like the $60s at PS aren't tough enough (for me). All I need now is a massive 2+2 migration.

You mean in regards to the tables filling up?
Are there any good strategy articles about the differences between the Stars turboes and the Party sngs? |

You mean in regards to the tables filling up? [/ QUOTE ] Sure, I would think the new VIP stuff would appeal to the high-limit players even more than the low ones. They're the ones that would benefit most from the free tournament entries and whatnot. I wouldn't expect an immediate mass exodus from Party to Stars, but I woul think that they would be some difference. I dunno; it's all conjecture, but it makes sense to me. I've never played the Party SNGs, but isn't it just the same thing with twice as many chips? In the beginning, I'd think you could train yourself in a way just but diviing all the numbers by 2 in your head. And maybe it'd be worthwhile to play a table or two less at first while you get used to the structure. It's still poker - it's not like you're playing a different game. |

Re: Stars VIP + Turbos vs Party sngs
I started playing some PP $22s this month (after having played mostly PS turbos). Average tourney time on PP is within 10 seconds of average tourney time on PS. Small sample size at PP, of course.

Re: Stars VIP + Turbos vs Party sngs
Well the main differences between Stars turbos and Party are:
* Stars blinds up every 5 mins, Party up every 10 hands. I guess this means more play late on, on Stars. * The stars blinds seem to increase alot more late on, whereas Party has a more gradual increase * People seem to spite call more on the bubble on Stars * On stars there is a huge gap bewteen early blind levels and late ones. I.e you have 10/20 blinds and 1500 chips vs 800 and 10/15. |
