Re: 5/10: JJ w/ A flop
I like just calling down a lot better than raising and folding to a three bet.

Re: 5/10: JJ w/ A flop
You get to see a showdown and get a chance to hit your possible two outer for the same price (2 BB's).

Re: 5/10: JJ w/ A flop
Yeah, I don't like your plan much at all. I think you're behind most of the time when he donks the turn (unless he's weird and loves to donk with draws or pair plus draws, flush draws and 78 are possibilities if this is the case). However, when he's got two smaller pair you've got 8 outs, but if you reopen the betting by raising you'll put yourself in the situation of folding a good draw in a big pot.

I think he's too aggressive for this. Just call down and hope he's donking crap.

Villain may have slowplayed a flopppped 2 pair or may have turned two pair and the board pairing may save the hand for you. Also, if villain is totally bluffing he may bet agin on the river whereas your raise may just blow him off his worthless hand. I think that these benefits far outweight the benefit of charging villain more to draw if his donkbet is just a semi-bluff with a draw. |
