Re: Parking Lot Pet Peeves
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I always seem to park in a lot where two immortals battle it out. As if the slashed tires and dented hoods weren't enough, then that stupid quickening happens and all the windows and headlights blow out too! I always loose my head when that happens! [/ QUOTE ] if you had a *, i'd point astroglide at that post in the hopes that hilarity removes *s. gg. [/ QUOTE ] But I think I'd still add an extra * for not being able to spell a 4-letter word like 'lose.' |

Re: Parking Lot Pet Peeves
A well-designed parking garage lets you drive directly to an upper level without winding around stuck behind slowpokes.
Hawaiian Gardens Casino is supposed to start construction of a large parking garage in a few months. Once it's finished customers will park there during construction of the new casino building (I think they will end up with more tables than Commerce). I'm hoping the garage and new building will be a top design, I live only a few minutes away. ~ Rick |

Re: Parking Lot Pet Peeves
My will be that people that speed in a parking garage. I mean you know people are walking around inside, and it is probably tight if its an older model garage. People that come through flying at 25-30mph need a good bitch slap to the face. Speeding in the garage saves little time, and you are putting random people walking around at risk.

Re: Parking Lot Pet Peeves
[ QUOTE ]
My biggest parking annoyance is stupid-ass [censored] giant SUVs and vans I can't see around when backing out of a space. I don't have a problem with them on the roads; it's really only in parking lots that they annoy me. [/ QUOTE ] I hate when one of them gets in the left hand turning lane across from mine. For all I know, it's clear behind him, but without the Inspector Gadget head, you have know way of knowing, so you have to wait for the red light. Also hate the wide-bodied vehicles that park on narrow streets. |

Re: Parking Lot Pet Peeves
People driving the wrong way in angled areas. Those who take your space. Employees who take closest spaces. Taking up more than one space/ not parking centered. Speeders/people who don't look at intersections. In big letters $3 parking, in super tiny letters, for first 15 minutes.

Re: Parking Lot Pet Peeves
Take a tip from some commedian I heard once (sorry, no credit).
When you see people following you, just walk up to one of the really close spaces; one right next to the entrance. Take out your key and stand there for like five minutes just screwing with your key-chain or looking through your wallet, etc. Then slowly turn around and say, "Wait a minute. This isn't my car!" and walk off. |
