Boring 10/20 Ac flush but what\'s your default river line?
In THIS (10/20 aggressive) game against a very aggressive player what is your standard river line here? Seriously I feel like an idiot asking this question but I know the 10/20 plays way different especially sh'd. I have found that 10/20 4-handed or less is just plain wacko. I'm adjusting ok I think though and learning a LOT. Anyway...
Check and hope he bets/bluffs then raise? Bet weak and hope he raises/calls with weak holding? Bet big and feign a bluff? Re: Boring 10/20 Ac flush but what\'s your default river line?
i think 600 is good if you believe that he would think you would bet w/o Ac or Kc here. look at stack sizes, he pushes as a bluff, or w/the Kc, you have to call 1500 into a 3000 pot on a 4-flush board. seems like it could give him some believable FE there
or perhaps 500 is better? |

Re: Boring 10/20 Ac flush but what\'s your default river line?
I probaly bet 2/3, its a good bet as it can look like a bluff as well. There are a few players I would probably check to, or bet like 250-300 hoping to be raised like BLDwtERs (not sure I got the name right, but you know who I'm talking about). Normally I think you are losing value by checking as most people wont value only with the top 2 flushes and checkbehind anything with showdown value. He must have something to show down as he called both the first 2 streats so I think if there is anyhope of inducing a bluff it is by making a week looking bet, not checking.

Re: Boring 10/20 Ac flush but what\'s your default river line?
Having played in a ton of these short handed games over the summer I think betting about the size of the pot is best. I can't tell you how many times I've potted the river on 4 flush boards either with the nuts or nothing at all and its amazing how many times I get called with just a mid club. So if it was me I would bet 950 or 1000, but this is assuming that your aggressiveness is at or above the norm for the table. If you don't bet I would rather check and try to induce a bluff.

Re: Boring 10/20 Ac flush but what\'s your default river line?
Hero bets 450-1000 range, with focus at 600-800. Most likelly paid off by crappier flush (Kc), 2 pair, or set. Very agr. player even AK no club is possible. Straight chasing after the turn bet seems remote
