"slowroll" wasn't that bad. A few things probably went through his mind before calling, and David knew that. They're both friends, and the delay was maybe 3 seconds...it wasn't like he clocked out of his time bank in a PokerStars heads up match when he had A-A...

What about the slowroll at the end? I like Daniel, but I thought that was uncool. "What? What did you say? You're all in? Ummmmm, (stands up), ummmmm, I call." [/ QUOTE ] Can someone tell me what the hand was? |

I missed the episode. Who won? [/ QUOTE ] Daniel. What's sad is that Williams had a big chip lead and pooched it straight to hell, which just so happens to probably also be miles ahead of what i would have done. |

I'm pretty sure this action is wrong. Wasn't a 9 on the board and didn't Williams have 9's full?

[/ QUOTE ] Everyone says david played horribly hu, Daniel Negreanu says he played near perfect, I'll take Daniel's word for it since he was there for every hand Regarding this hands it seems clear Daniel thought the bet looked too much like a value bet so he called waiting (hoping is more likely) to see a bluff |

A. This hand is in a vaccuum.
B. David plays fairly aggressively and no draw hit on the river, and if David had a draw K high beats them all (QT/Q9/T9). Getting 4.5-1 this call is not that horrible if Negreanu had a read. A value bet is usually larger; a bet this small raises eyebrows. Also, it shows that Daniel won't be pushed around (although after this hand he's going to have to tighten up on the river because this gives David a lot of VBing room). |
