No read on the BB.

The problem with making it 400 is that you might as well push all-in.. Odds are too good to fold is he pushes at that point.

If I'm reading this right, he has 10BB so that's your effective stack. Push.

WIth 8 players left, the gap between your push and his call is too narrow. 3x BB, then fold to a push.

You put 1/4 of your stack in then you fold getting 1.4:1? I don't like that very much at all. Pushing and folding are both reasonable options.

He is saying that they are not close to the money, so he could call with worse hands than he would if they were fighting for 3rd.
