Re: How small a one card flush can I draw to?
Well the A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] were both out in the hands of the SB 3 bettor who flopped the nuts!

Re: How small a one card flush can I draw to?
[ QUOTE ]
I thought the CAP was easy given the amount of bad hands already in and because I wanted to waste my good position over the 3 bettor. [/ QUOTE ] FYP. Seriously, you want to leave SB with the initiative so he will autobet the flop and you can act last, either raising the entire field or drawing cheaply as circumstances dictate. Instead you set yourself up to be checkraised at SB's discretion in exchange for an immediate EV gain that is so small it may not exist. Going last is good. Preserve the power of the button for when you need it. As long as I can keep closing the action for one bet I'll keep taking cards. You have 14 outs plus a backdoor straight in a huge pot. It's true that you don't know if they are good, but you also don't know they aren't. You are being heavily compensated for the risks you are taking and that's what counts. |

Re: How small a one card flush can I draw to?
I have learnt more than I expected just on pre-flop that I am glad I posted this hand. Thanks to Stellawind and Toss in particular who have given me a greater understanding about putting yourself in a position of control by NOT getting overaggro with medium strength hands pre-flop.
