How much should I bet as a blocking bet?
And what do I do if he raises? He only have 8 left. |

Re: AA - is this the way to play it?
I don't think a blocking bet is much good on the river. The pot is $24.36 - a blocking bet of $5 isn't going to do anything. Check/calling is fine - this will pick up busted draws. I'm not sold you're ahead, but probably often enough to call.

That guy is re-opening the betting for you on the flop. Use that to your advantage. Re-raise the other guy who called your initial $3.

When I played the hand I had no read on main villain.
But I later figured out that he was very loose passive. Could have used that knowledge when I played this AA becaue he showed me 85s (two pairs on the flop and boat on the river) I really don't like to be called both on the flop and the turn with overpairs. But I thought he may have a set, KK-JJ or 77 for the straight draw. When he pushed on the river I knew it probably was a set or an overpair. Good I hate to be oop. * Is there an option to check turn after being called on the flop oop with AA ever? * What about betting 1/2 pot on both the flop and turn with overpairs oop? Anyone tried that? That means you commit less chips and they still don't get good odds to chase. |

Re: Results
Just because someone calls you on the flop when you have AA doesnt mean you are behind. Someone playing a passive top pair will probably just call you down throughout the hand.
