Blind steal, turn decision
Villain in this hand is loose preflop, and I haven't seen any aggression out of him postflop in the couple orbits I've played with him. My table image is pretty stellar at this point.
Hero openraises K5o OTB. Just the BB calls. Flop (4.5SB): 2 3 3r Villain checks, Hero bets, Villain raises, Hero calls. Turn (4.25BB) A Villain bets, Hero ? How many outs do I have on the turn? Can I call? |

Re: Blind steal, turn decision
I don't see any value in the flop call, unless you're adding in metagame considerations.
I think the turn is a pretty easy fold. Villian could easily have hit his ace. |

Re: Blind steal, turn decision
Looks like time to let it go. Villain ain't scared and we didn't reraise the flop to see if he could get scared (which I wouldn't recommend here anyway).

Re: Blind steal, turn decision
I try not to fold to the flop checkraise if I can help it. If my hand has a chance I'll usually call. That's for metagame reason.
I don't think this villain could checkraise an unimproved A on the flop, FWIW. |

Re: Blind steal, turn decision
Think the turn is an easy fold here as you're drawing pretty thin against anything but a Q-high bluff (which doesn't seem likely).

Re: Blind steal, turn decision
Working on my blind steals, so maybe this is a silly question.
If you know BB is loose pf, is K5o a good enough hand to steal with? Based on the K alone? This is a fold for me. |

[/ QUOTE ] How are you drawing decent against a mid-pocket pair? And I don't think it's standard to c/r a duece. You make this player out to be fairly loose and passive. Just fold. |
