Re: Interesting AK hand, turn decision?
I think andaquarter flopped the flush here. By check/calling the flop I think he has some type of draw or a monster. When the turn comes, he leads for an awfully small bet. The turn brought a 1-card straight draw, and if he hit it, this is an extremely weird bet. You'd think he'd want to protect his hand against the flush draw. I really see this bet as a flopped flush (probably nut) trying to squeeze value from the straight or another decent hand.
Either way, I don't think you are good here, and the king high flush draw isnt THAT strong. Also, the other player in the hand certainly does not help your cause. |

Re: Interesting AK hand, turn decision?
That flop bet is no good. It will not accomplish anything. I'd probably take a free card; if you wanted to try to take the pot now, you might have to shove it in given stack sizes.
I think you're in trouble on this turn. It seems highly unlikely you can win the hand-- your best case scenario is 9 outs to the winner and that is almost certainly not the case. |

Re: Interesting AK hand, turn decision?
I'm willing to keep this as small as possible. It may NOT be right and it may be weak/tight, something I have almost shed, but I check the flop and then only call a small turn bet. If he bets the turn semi big I'm gone. Too much scary stuff when you are about 20% to win the hand on the turn.

Re: Interesting AK hand, turn decision?
meh results
folded the turn. BB had AK w/ the A of spades ep had QQ i would have lost the freeroll i'm still not really happy w/ my flop bet- BUT it did give me an idea of how strong the BB was and allowed me to get away on the turn... |
