Re: AK Help
First - I'm struggling with AK too. But here is what I think about this hand: he limped from UTG, flop is 55K is one of the best flops I can imagine for AK. I'd be aggressive on the flop and respond to his reraise on the flop with a push. KQ and KJ are likely holdings...

Re: AK Help
You already figured this one out: It's raise or fold on the flop. With no reads I can make a compelling argument for either. I usually pop it back to about $20 and fold if he comes back over the top.

They'd get it in on the turn and at which point it would be incorrect to fold. |

I think you can play this hand just like you would play AA and you aren't folding AA to a raise here. |

Re: AK Help
Reverse roles. Imagine how would you play this hand from the other side. You attempted to limp with KT-KQ suited. Somebody raised, you decided to call (for whatever reasons). Now flop comes 55K. Do you think check-raise is possible at these limits? After checking would you raise with these hands when somebody bets into you? Pot size bet might be lower pair - JJ/TT or simply CB and min-raise might give you some information about your opponent's hand.
My question is - if you don't try to win this flop with AK, what kind of flop do you need to be aggressive in shorthanded game? |

Re: AK Help
Vitality,
I'm not re-raising to disguise my hand here. I'm not folding it, I'm not under the impression I'm behind. Unfortunately, my post does not illustrate this, I'm not folding, not sure I wrote what i wrote. Ooops. |

Re: AK Help
I'm not sure that I understood this.
My read is: you are trying to bluff me out from this thread. |
