You sit down and first hand you get is AQo UTG - whats your play?
No reads on anybody. 100NL you pick up AQo UTG in a fullring game. How do you play this?
This seems to be a VERY difficult hand for many people to play especially from this position. Perhaps the problems all start at preflop play. What is your STANDARD play with this hand? |

Re: AQ UTG at fullring?
There is SO much information missing from this question that it is really unanswerable.

How could you UTG in your first hand? Unless you're posting UTG, in which case you have much more important issues to address than what to do with AQ.

Raise 4xbb. Make standard continuation bet. Fold to aggression on the flop w/ no reads if all you have is a pair.

Re: AQ UTG at fullring?
1. You are a bad enough player that you post UTG
2. Bad players should fold AQo UTG as it's a trap hand in full ring. 3. In reality you can pick any one of fold/limp/standard raise - they are all viable - which one is to be preferred here depends on the table and your ability to read players. |

I imagine that this is a hypothetical situation, even so Poboy's comments were teh first thing to pop into my head. |

Re: You sit down and first hand you get is AQo UTG - whats your play?
I don't post UTG, only BB, or CO (if at full ring).
However, I like a small raise. Limping is out of the question b/c more than likely someone will raise behind you and you really won't know where you stand. Raising too big would also be silly with this hand from UTG. I'm liking 2.5-3XBB. |
