Re: Unknown SB leads small on the flop
I see this a lot from a hand like 10-10 trying to cheaply determine if you hit the flop. Of course it could always be a draw looking for a cheap turn card. I raise to 75-90 and probably fold to a 3-bet, which is his way of allowing you to get away cheaply, IMO.
If Villain just calls the bet make another pot sized bet on a bricked turn |

Re: Unknown SB leads small on the flop
His stack is only about three times the size of the pot and you have a strong hand. The sooner the money goes in the pot, the more likely that you're ahead. I raise to $125 and put the rest in on the turn. If he pushes over the top of your flop raise then things aren't looking so great, but without any read on him I'd be inclined to call and pray. He might be really bad, or he might not be giving you credit for having much on just your second hand at the table.

raise to 125. if he pushes, call. if he calls, push turn. if he fold, take the pot. [/ QUOTE ] I raise to 110 or 115 (PSR) but 125 is fine too. You have the best hand and he is likely drawing so lets put lots of money in the pot. |
