20/40 with a moron
Good 20/40 game. UTG is a loose passive with seemingly no knowledge of poker. SB is taggish who plays position.
I'm in BB with Jd9d UTG limps, folded to SB who could be raising anything, I make it 3-bets to get the douche to fold his crap hand but he calls, button calls. Flop: Js, 6h, 7h SB bets out, I raise, UTG mutters and calls, SB calls. Turn: 9c SB checks, I bet, UTG raises, SB calls, I call River: Kh SB checks, I check, UTG shakes his head and says why not and bets, SB raises, I fold, UTG 3-bets, SB caps, UTG-calls. Apart from preflop, where do I get away? |

Re: 20/40 with a moron
I think I'd rather keep UTG in the hand, rather than go heads up against a tight-aggressive player with jack-high. I'm just calling preflop.
Postflop looks okay to me, at first glance. -McGee |

[/ QUOTE ] But you didn't act on those reads. Loose passives don't fold to a 3-bet once they are in the pot preflop. If he is truly LP then you should know that he will call virtually every time. Post flop there is nothing more that you can do. Curse the river and move on to the next hand. |

Re: 20/40 with a moron
Why do you feel that sb is capable of raising w/anything here? He's oop and theres an utg limper. He knows he's got zero fold equtiy so I think that narrows his range considerably. I think you just call this rather than 3 bet b/c you are likely to be behind pf.
You played it fine postflop |
