Re: What\'s my next step?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I just turned 30 yesterday and now I'm starting to feel my dream slip away if I don't act on it. I've got to pull my lazy ass together, step up in limits, and risk losing everything now by quitting this job and hitting the life of a pro or it may never happen. [/ QUOTE ] I'm just feeling old and having some kind of crisis. Sitting down for a few hours and making a couple hundred 3 nights a week just doesn't do it for me anymore. I need to take it up a notch and start showing up on TV. I know that I can outplay a lot of these so called pros. Indy [/ QUOTE ] ok...you're joking, right? |

Enough of the insinuation, why the hell would I be joking?

Enough of the insinuation, why the hell would I be joking? Indy [/ QUOTE ] Because surely anyone contemplating going pro would understand that TV hands are presented in a complete vaccuum and are a horrible way of evaluating a player's skill? Because surely anyone contemplating going pro is doing it because they expect to earn an acceptable wage, not because they want to "be on tv?" |

Re: What\'s my next step?
I'm not even talking about individual hands, just general idiot behaviors. I mean really, Randy Jensen? WTF?

Re: What\'s my next step?
Hi Indiana. I am at a crossroads as well. This is what I am doing...
I am buying a roundtrip ticket to a big American city for a 3 day trip to play poker in the higher limits. The airfare is low cost and so are expenses for a trip like this. You can try it out for a few days and see how you like the life and the poker. Now you can never say to yourself darn I wish I tried it because I know I could beat that 10-20 or 20-40 for 1.5 bb/hr raise on! |
