Re: AKo, any better alternatives?
looks fine. he has and will talk himself into a call with AQ/AJ more often than he has AA here.

its fine... little small on the flop bet tho (i do this sometimes too, fine in moderation... but you shouldnt always bet this small here fwiw).

Any info on the villian? [/ QUOTE ] yes, tight and solid, but I'm still on the baby steps of good default lines. Before I start worrying about adjusting said plays for my opposition. Kind of backwards, but I feel more comfortable with my player specific adjustments than I do with solid default lines. |

[/ QUOTE ] thanks for this. between good thinking players isnt that an ok flop bet size as its pretty clear it "could" all get in by the end should the hand go to showdown? In other words, it could just be a continuation bet, but could also represent strength. |

Re: AKo, any better alternatives?
He is the kind of fellow who will raise PF and then cold-call a re-raise. He'll min-raise an ace high flop against a PF raiser who is showing continued aggression.
I like how you played this hand. |

Re: AKo, any better alternatives?
call raise, check turn or lead turn weak... i really dont think AQ can pay off as played, only a set...

[ QUOTE ] stoxtradr: raises to £240 Anrik: calls £160 [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] tight and solid [/ QUOTE ] huh? [/ QUOTE ] why are those contradictory? I can see how they can be, but i can also think of a couple different explanations where they make good sense. I will have to go home to see how many hands I have with him though to double check the read. |
