River overbet
No reads.... 30$ stacks with .10/.25$ blinds.
I have 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and limp from MP. button limps, SB calls, BB knocks. Pot 1$ flop 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] -- I bet 30c, SB calls turn 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] -- check, check river K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] -- pot 1.5$ -- villian bets 3$, hero pushes (25$ more) I know turn is a goofy line, but I specifically wanted him to lead into me on river. |

Re: River overbet
I think you need to bet this flop a bit more and lead this turn. It makes the pot bigger, so by the river, pushing wont be so big.

Re: River overbet
This was played pretty badly. Bet $1 on the flop, bet the turn and value bet the river. Hope he was chasing the flush or has a 4, otherwise you're not winning much in this hand. A villain may not lose his stack with 64o when you overbet the river, but he'll call down your PSB's on the flop/turn and then you can get it in on the river.

Re: River overbet
I would have atleast bet more on the flop. Either your going to win it right there or get more on later streets. Like Isura said you need to bet the whole way I think.

Re: River overbet
I would bet half pot on the turn to let my opponent draw or raise if he has a flush. I would check this flop some times and bet bigger others. Did you check the river?

Re: River overbet
It's been my experience that when people bet in strange patterns, they have a great big hand.I would not give you action on the river after you bet in this fashion.
