This guy needed psychological help. You should have turned the tapes over to your CO, so this process could have begun.
You had a great opportunity to help another human being; instead, you assisted in his death. Although you probably won't, you should feel very, very sad. A classic tragedy, with you as the catalyst, selecting the worst of all possible courses of action. Learn empathy and have the courage to act on it. |

The army doesn't really do much in the way of empathy and sensitivity training for the enlisted men. Raise this issue with your congresswoman.

Maybe I'm f'd up, but I think that is a hilarious story.
It certainly seems like you didn't like the guy, so I don't know why people think you should feel bad he killed himself. |
