A couple of value bets...
HU 100/200. I dont recall if these were against the same opponent or not. Both the villians that i am playing are reasonable, and as aggressive as you would expect most HU high stakes players to be.
Hand one, I open 44 from the SB, villian 3 bets, i 4 bet. Flop is Q86r. he bets and i call. I sense weakness here, and want to showdown if the board is co-operative. Turn is a 2 and i call his bet. River is a Q, he checks and i bet for value. Hnad 2: Villian opens from SB, i 3 bet AK, he caps. Flop is 223. I bet he alls. Turn is a 4 and he calls my bt. River is a 6 and I bet for value intending to call a raise. Also, FWIW, villians here are capable of capping any hand they want to open from time to time preflop, and they know is true of me as well. |

Re: A couple of value bets...
I would definitely give him the chance to keep betting with worse hands here. If he checks behind on the turn then I would bet probably bet the river for value. I don't think we want him to fold any unpaired hand. What am I missing?

Re: A couple of value bets...
In hand 1 i didn't bet until the river.
In hand 2, i felt getting calldowns from K and ace high were more important than inducing bluffs given the combo of his preflop/postlfop action. |

In hand 1 i didn't bet until the river. [/ QUOTE ] I should have specified that I was talking solely about Hand 2. Hand 1 is perfect in my opinion. Cartman |
