they're seeling the 20.1" viewsonic at costco for $500 and the 20.1" samsung at sam's for the same where i live. both are preferable to the dell

Other than (possibly) response time, what specification(s) is(are) making these other monitors so superior to the dell? |

i believe the samsung has 600:1 contrast ratio
excuse me, 700:1 contrast and 300 brightness. |

Ok so I dont know what any of these stats mean. Other than the 1200 x 600 or whatever it is for the 4 tables on the screen!! I know I want to get a better monitor since I'm still using a crt and it's a 17" at that.
So guide me a little...I need to step up to the plate and spend some poker dough this xmas....on myself! |
