Favorite Conan bit
Aside from:
<---- I think mine has to be when he goes through the made-up channels. The "Dignitary Wipeout channel" with news clips of heads of state slipping and falling on the ground or the "Not Cool Zeus channel" or the "Corporate Mascot Soap Opera channel". Anyways, what's your favorite? |

Re: Favorite Conan bit
Easily anything that involves Walker: Texas Ranger. When Richter was still around, "In The Year 2000" was awesome.

The Masturbating Bear. Kills me. [/ QUOTE ] I haven't seen that in far too long. Actually, I think the last time I saw it was when Jim Carrey showed up in the costume. |

Re: Favorite Conan bit
Either Triumph bits (which are few and far between) or the fake interviews on the screen that comes down. Robert Smigel is the genius behind both of those, interestingly enough.

Re: Favorite Conan bit
egocidal,
Gotta agree with the governator interviews. Also, not really a bit, but here is a good exchange from a desk interview with Jon Lovitz. Conan: So I heard that you were dating an older woman. Jon: (irritated) Conan, I asked you not to bring that up. Conan: I'm sorry. It's just that I heard you were dating a very nice older woman. Jon: (sighs) Yes, well, I had my heart broken. I met this older woman. Beautiful woman, wonderful. Conan: Mm hmm. Jon: And then one day we were sitting in a restaurant. And she said to me, "I have a son." And I said, "you do?" And she said, "yes, and I want you to meet him. Look, here he comes, walking through the door." And who do you think it was? Conan: I don't know, who? Jon: It was you! |

Fake interviews, especially with arnold the governmator [/ QUOTE ] The unrehearsed-ness of these tends to show a little too much as they drag on, but it's all part of the appeal I guess. |
