I am broke, really dont wanna go buy more (have about 4 bucks to my name) and my eyes are really starting to hurt. whaddya think guys? distilled water? these just happen to be my last contacts, which I've been wearing for about a month longer than I should. god I love college broke. |

Re: where else to put contacts
Shot glasses and tap water will be fine.
I've done this before. Of course the girl I slept with that night thought she was helping me clean out the bathroom and washed the shot glasses for me, so I don't know if my contacts would have been OK or not. |

Re: where else to put contacts
DON'T use distilled water. Saline solution has salt in it just like your natural tears. Putting them in your eyes after soaking in distilled water is going to pull the water out of the contacts into your eyes and dry them out (osmosis).
Just put them in tap water. Tap water will do the same thing, but to a much lesser extent. It will take your eyes a little while to moisten them, but it won't hurt your eyes. |

I've used the solution from an I.V. bag before, so if you happen to see an unattended ambulance........

Probably should yawn a couple of times before putting those contacts in so your eyes are at least more moistened. |
