see, I was thinking the check-raise might be the right move here as well. I just didn't want to give AKs a chance to draw cheaply as I was feeling confident that I'd be seeing this one down to the river regardless of what came.

If we bet big and he raises, it's gonna be all in. We want him to bet something like 1/3rd or 1/2 pot and sucker a few bets in before we push. We don't want to get people out.
