Is this a horrible play?
UB WSOP Super-Satellite. Top four awarded 2006 main event entry. 36 players left.
Villain is pretty loose but not aggressive preflop. He's willing to take stabs at ragged flops. Blinds 150/300, Ante 25 SB (t20245) BB (t5945) Hero (t10115) UTG+1 (t26945) UTG+2 (t11145) MP1 (t7350) MP2 (t2730) Villain (t14530) Button (t6145) Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Hero calls t300, 4 folds, Villain calls t300, 1 fold, SB calls t150, BB checks. Flop: (t1425) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players) SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks, Villain bets t1425 , 2 folds , Hero raises to t5000 |

Re: Is this a horrible play?
***Bump***
Was this play too aggressive? I figured that there weren't too many hands he could have that would call this raise and against those that could, I had plenty of outs. This move is not the norm for me. It felt right, but I would love to hear comments. Thanks. |

Re: Is this a horrible play?
I don't like the raise, I either push or call in this spot. (I'm leaning towards a call)

Re: Is this a horrible play?
In 3rd position of four in an unraised pot, I think I'm leading about 800 at this pot to take it down. Am I the only one?
I will add the caveat that I play on Stars and I have played UB before and some players see a less than pot bet as a weak invitation to go allin. |
