Re: Tought spot? What do you do?
That flop isn't nearly scary enough for me to fold an overpair.

It also isn't likely that someone slow played TPTK when the top pair on the board is nines. I raise a little less preflop; I like the raise after the flop and I usually fold to their allin. zip |

Re: Tought spot? What do you do?
I like raising a lot PF with Jacks or better. Most people find themselves reasons to call with [censored] holdings I find. But I play the 22 and 33 SitNgos, maybe a little different. Anyways for him to be playing a hand like that I'd have to think he has aces. Kings would even be a completely [censored] up play. Aces would be a weird play but an acceptable one at times since he can trap smaller big pairs or top pairs on the flop. The flop is pretty raggedy, why would he try to push you out if he flopped a set? woudnl't he want the other guy to call too? Especially if he puts you on AK (though given your PF raise he probably puts you on a big pair). I think the only reasonable hand he could have is aces. I think I'd have to call this. Another factor is how are the games usually? i play at party and when there's still 8~10 ppl left ppl are goin all in on middle pairs to top pairs with garbage kickers. His range of hands offer too many things like Ace 9 or King9 for me to fold this. What do you guys think

Re: Tought spot? What do you do?
You committed almost half you chips before you were faced with a difficult decision; the decision has already been made

Re: Tought spot? What do you do?
I like your line ok. but it did tell him what you have. So he knows you have a hand and comes over the top anyway.
I'm pretty sure you ran into QQ or with any luck JJ you still have over 1000 chips and blinds are low, I'd hate it, but would fold. |

Re: Tought spot? What do you do?
easy easy call here in early stage of tourney. you will see worse hands well more than enough to make it +EV.most times i expect to see two overcards here who assume that is what you had and missed the flop.

Re: Tought spot? What do you do?
lets see..villan cold call 7x BB raise with players behind him. then pushes over the top of your nice size bet on a pretty raggy flop. I don't see 99 or 77 calling this much PF, and I dont see AK, AQs going over the top of you on flop. So to me that leaves AA, KK, QQ, and maybe TT.
If I had TT I would prob not push here, and I wouldnt slowplay QQ Preflop with others behind me. So, its AA, or KK in my mind. Thirdly, the level is 10/20..and if you fold you still have chips (about 1k?). I hate it..but I fold. Brian |

Re: Tought spot? What do you do?
I think you bet less post flop and fold to the c/r.
I think with blinds so small and already some limpers I'd play JJ like a medium pair preflop and limp for set value. |
