Re: NCAAB 12/3/05
Cannot be with Xavier
They haven't played any teams yet. They're too much of an unknown. What happens when the rubber meets the road? Plus, the Illini look pretty decent; That road win at UNC looks much better than people are giving credit. Moreover, the Illini have a pretty damn good record at the United Center. |

Well, I won't say I told you so...yet
Are you possibly biased on that one? Richmond -1 -110 1st half Saw some good cappers on Richmond so I checked it out and I like it a lot. Richmond plays good D + they have a height advantage in starters. I'm taking it 1h because of the combination of Richmond's tough D with their lack of depth and potential halftime adjustments by Arkansas St. 19-17-1 ytd |

Re: NCAAB 12/3/05
I'm gonna lose with....
Memphis -2.5 I'm very impressed with this Memphis team so far this year, and not real impressed with the Bearcats. Wyoming -2 Southern I'll isn't very good this year. I like Wyoming at home. San Fransico (.3 units here) +350 (I can't believe I took this line where it was +375 a ton of other places). Texas Tech has looked very weak so far, and I dont think they are a 3 to one favorite. Re: NCAAB 12/3/05
Good pick with Xavier...their ability to shoot carried them well
Awesome game...2nd best I've seen this whole year (behind Michigan State-Gonzaga). Great, tough, work-for-everything game. Officiating went Illini way (the home effect) with 2nd half technical and first half cheapies that put a few key Xavier players in foul trouble. Augustine was a manimal, 40 minutes of tenaciousness. As to bias, not really, but I could see the effect. I bet against the Illini as much as I bet on them ATS. I'll probably be looking at Arkansas-Litte Rock ATS verse the Illini on Monday after the toughness of this game. |

Re: NCAAB 12/3/05
I was with you on Xavier. I got the early line of +5.5 +101. I knew I should have waited though as I think the public pushed it to +6.5, and then maybe the sharps pushed it back to +6 before game time. It was close and I'm glad they made some big buckets to help us cover. Also, Illinois missing FTs helped. I almost knew I should have played the 2H Illinois but was away from a comp to do it.
Memphis is also looking good. I forget to take the early line so I stayed away since it moved a couple of pts. |

Re: NCAAB 12/3/05
Thanks, I was thinking about taking the Illini in the second half -5.5 but I didn't, bad decision. I have to admit Xavier did almost blow it in the second half.
Richmond got smoked 32-18 1h so I was way off there. The Memphis line jumped from -3 to -5 last night then dropped to -2.5 earlier today. I was thinking I was on the wrong side, but they aren't doing that bad. |

Re: NCAAB 12/3/05
More chalk, of the road variety:
Nevada -3 -116 (skybook) Pacific ain't what it used to be, returning only one starter. Watch them get smoked here by a bigger, better, more experienced Nevada team. |

Wow it moved to -2.5. I missed it
Also with you on Nevada -3. I'm surprised by the line. I don't think Pacific stands a chance. But...what do I know...I got creamed in the NCAAB today. Lots of games looking great till the last 5 minutes. |
