Re: Double flop hold-em
Just to be a bit clearer, I have a harded time calling with unsuited cards like KJ in your example.

Re: Double flop hold-em
I would play almost the excact same as hold'em preflop with 1 tiny difference, more suited connectors! Suited connectors have a small chance to flop huge and take down big pots, here the chance doubles! Play more of the hands tha in hold'em miss alot but often win big when they do hit.
Also don't get stuck with top pair top kicker thinking you are golden, when everyone is seeing the flop you gotta watch for some junk 2 pairs. |

Re: Double flop hold-em
Play for the scoop.
Limp as much as you can. Read Ray Zee. Raising pre-flop will increase your advantage a little bit, but will increase your variance enourmously. Gun AA and KK. Middle pocket pairs may have potential. Big suited are probably good limpers. Big broadway less so, maybe play in late position. Speculative hands like suited connectors and low pocket pairs suck in this game--little chance to scoop, which means there is little potential for profit. Maniac tables are always hard to play, perhaps more so in this game. |
