Why are online tables oval? Why not round?

IIRC GamesGrid had round tables.

This is an issue of asthetics. For poker rooms have to appeal to the average joes before they appeal to card sharks. Average joes will like playing at something similar to a Brick and mortar table. with a dealer, and cards being dealt and a chip rack and bla bla bla.
